Pure British is a FIFE registered British Shorthair cattery located in Romania that breeds exclusively pedigree British Shorthair, the most popular breed of short-haired cats in the UK.
Our story
Our love affair with British Shorthairs began a few years ago when we adopted a beautiful blue British Shorthair without a pedigree. We were immediately captivated by his sweet temperament and striking looks.
As we learned more about the British Shorthair breed, we realized the significant differences between pedigree and non-pedigree British Shorthairs.
This realization ignited our passion for breeding and caring for these captivating felines, inspiring us to establish Pure British, our own feline British Shorthair.
However, our decision to breed pure line British Shorthair cats came only after gaining invaluable experience in breeding Labradors for over 7 years. Our Labrador Retriever kennel, Terra Happy, has become the best known and most respected in Romania due to our unwavering commitment to producing high quality, healthy kittens with exceptional temperaments.
Leveraging our success and expertise in breeding the most superb Labradors, we have applied the same successful principles to our British Shorthair cattery: Pure British.
At Pure British, we are dedicated to breeding cats that exemplify the breed’s highest standards, focusing on health, temperament and the stunning beauty for which British Shorthair cats are renowned.
We provide a nurturing environment in which British Shorthairs can flourish, ensuring that each kitten is raised with care, attention and socialization, and we pride ourselves on the strong bonds we form with our customers.
